Writing is a continuous process. As long as you are dong it you are good; but when you go on a break, you break a flow and getting back into this flow is easier said then done. Continue reading “Writing and Sabbatical???”

GI Joe
Almost all of us at some point in our life have been bitten by the GI Joe bug. For some it was the action figures, for others the cartoon or for someone like me it was the novel cum Game Books gifted by a cousin. Before that I had watched a few cartoons but didn’t found them very scintillating. So I went to watch the movie without any nostalgic baggage and an open mind, greedy for some good action which I undoubtedly got. Continue reading “GI Joe”
Public Enemies
I generally don’t like the movie which the critics approve of; and critics have approved Public Enemies. With a cast of Bale [he has become my favourite] and Depp, set in the great depression era, story of a bank robber; the expectations were ought to be high and most of them have been met. But the ones which are not left me a lot disappointed. Continue reading “Public Enemies”
Red Cliff
Red Cliff is a Chinese epic war movie; this is all I know about it. My knowledge of rocket science is much better when compared to Chinese movies or actors. Except for Jackie Chan, Jet Li and Bruce Lee, all look alike to me [no offence] so don’t expect any mind blowing, critic review about the story or the characters. Continue reading “Red Cliff”
The Hangover
Since I heard about ‘The Hangover’ I wanted to watch it; but as luck would have it I finally got a chance this Friday. Going by the kind of business the movie is doing [the theatre was full even in the third week in India and that too on Friday, with many other releases] am sure most of you must have seen it and if you are still waiting, then its high time now. Continue reading “The Hangover”
Rain Rain Come Again
After a wait of over a month, finally it rained in the national capital. The overall rainfall we received this year is far from normal; had it not been to the Monday’s downpour this figure would have been almost zilch [56% of total rain received was on 27th]. Continue reading “Rain Rain Come Again”
‘Straightening’ and the ‘Historic Judgment’
It’s been quite some time since I wrote any post, well there was Transformers movie review last week, but I don’t think it counts as a post. That reminds me the movie review was the 200th post on ‘zhagdoo’; so we are officially 206 posts [including this one], 2 years 1month and 16 days old. Continue reading “‘Straightening’ and the ‘Historic Judgment’”
OLD AGE HOMES
Is it correct to send people away to old age homes ? Can you think of sending your grandparents or any close old people away to an old age home ? Continue reading “OLD AGE HOMES”
Transformers- Revenge of the Fallen
We all know about Hollywood’s obsession with big action movies, elaborate special effects with some sci-fi plot thrown in and the huge number of such flicks it produces on the subject. Adding to this list is ‘Transfomers-Revenge of the Fallen’! Continue reading “Transformers- Revenge of the Fallen”
Something I Don’t Understand
Top most restaurants and food chains promising taste and quality for money when it comes to food is almost set in every second street of a city. But I guess no one would have been spared of being victim of food poisoning and stomach troubles after having food even from a reputed and popular food chain. Continue reading “Something I Don’t Understand”
Terminator Salvation
When it was certain that Arnold will not be there in Terminator-4, I thought I’ll never gonna watch it. But the day news of Christian Bale in it came I knew I’ll give it a shot. It was a long wait before I finally got to see it; the option of downloading from the net was long available, but I don’t wanted to miss even a single shot to piracy and frankly speaking I don’t regret my decision. Continue reading “Terminator Salvation”
X-Men Origins Wolverine
One thing I keep on saying again and again about superhero sagas; I don’t like the whole concept of having supernatural-unexplainable powers. But then a friend said without superpowers you don’t have superheroes, it’s simply heroes. Batman doesn’t fall in the superhero category then, but Wolverine does. Continue reading “X-Men Origins Wolverine”
Angels and Demons!!!
I didn’t like ‘Da Vinci Code’ and the fact it was based upon church and Christianity mystery made it even more pathetic. Not because am a church activist, against portraying it in bad light; but mainly because of two reasons. Continue reading “Angels and Demons!!!”
3:10 to Yuma
Before I talk about it, a basic information 3:10 to Yuma is a western movie; for all those who don’t like this genre don’t bother about it. But if you are Russel Crowe or Christian Bale fan, then you may want to read further. Continue reading “3:10 to Yuma”
Gran Torino
This is said to be his last acting performance; if it’s true then it has to be special to be a farewell note for someone like Clint Eastwood and you bet it is. Continue reading “Gran Torino”
