The moment results of general elections 2014 were declared on 16th May, the whole country was surprised and whole media with political parties (of NDA and UPA alike) were shocked. It was an unprecedented victory for the BJP and no one had expected it to be of such magnitude. Since then lot of people have wrote and spoken a lot about the result. Why BJP won? How BJP won? Which didn’t make much sense to me, and now with the first 100 days of the government complete in the office, which mostly have rated as good, everyone is still talking the same things which are still not making any sense.
After the result, everyone tried to take the credit for the same, the media, various NGOs, even the opposition parties. Their point of contention, it’s not BJP that won, but we lost due to our faults. Congress president Mrs. SoniaG, kept reiterating the fact that BJP was successful in misleading the people (even till recently in a Congress conference); others went on to say we were not able to control the communal agenda which BJP spread to win the elections, and communalized the majority vote bank.
The MSM or the main stream media, which was thirsty for Modi’s blood for 12 years since Gujarat 2002, credited itself by pointing out the nonstop coverage they gave him. That is another case that for 12 years, Rakhi Sawant of Indian Journalism Barkha Dutt and drama queen Sagarika Ghosh with her husband Rajdeep Sardesai had made a personal mission of defeating monstrous Modi to save the bholi-bhali Indian janta.
It seemed all their rhetoric was based on one statement from oh-so smart and intellect Mr. Markande Katju that 90% Indians are fools; and that is the basic reason why they lost. Even the self-declared saviour of Aam Admi, Mr. Arvind Kejrival took the aam admi for a fool, who can be misled, and till date they are telling you that. Why do you think people are so easy to be fooled? Are we idiots and too emotional to think and choose correct government for us? It is not your responsibility, as you may think to guide us to the polling booths.
All the opposition’s campaign for 2 months was telling us about the bad that will happen if BJP won. Kejriwal said if BJP wins, gas and petrol will become very expensive, ‘yahi toh scam hai’. Mr. RahulG talked about country wide riots, being planned on BJP victory. Other opposition parties maintained a BJP government will take up Hindutva agenda and Muslims will suffer; why they assume Hindutva means anti-muslim? True Hindutva agenda is not against anyone, but for everyone. Nobody talked about what they have done or what they will do if they win. But all chose to spoke about the horror that will befall upon this great nation if BJP wins; except for one, Mr. Modi. He was the only man campaigning on his agenda, talking about his vision, what he will do if he wins, what his government’s plans are and how they have performed in the past.
Dear all please stop thinking of people as fools. Till the time you will keep treating us like fools, you will keep facing the same fate. We are not that ‘bholi bhali janta’ which can be misled or emotional fools who can be manipulated to vote. Mr. Kejriwal, we are tired of you continuously trying to fool us, your press conferences, your alleged exposes and your continuous rant of everything being a BJP conspiracy. MSM, we have heard lot of your bickering and opinions; we don’t want them. We are fully capable of forming our own opinions, so please don’t impose yours on us. Your job is to report, so just report don’t retort. Don’t fill a one line news item with your biased and crooked opinions. And Mr. RahulG + SoniaG + and all other Gs, I have only this to say to you, ‘no ulloo banaowing, no ulloo banaowing’.
