In July 2008, our college gave us a simple assignment of management lessons from our ancient scriptures; I wrote about Ramayana. Although the assignment was never submitted but it got published here, as Management and Ramayana. The post became popular and on Google it was once the top result. 2009 is going
The New Year eve is couple of days away and everyday the newspapers are filled with numerous ads all the discs, pubs, lounges in and around the city are coming up with various deals. Just a few days back me and a friend happened to stroll to a disc at the wee hours of night and enquired about the charges and stuff. The bouncer at the entrance told us in his baritone only couple entry, no stags. Continue reading “2009 is going”
The CR’s …
Everyday I receive 2-3 mails atleast from my class CR [the CR can be interpreted in many ways but here lets just keep it to Class representative]; not just me but each and every student of the class; no our class CR is not indulged in spamming, trying to sell us some product; she is just doing her job. Continue reading “The CR’s …”
Avatar
After 2012 if any movie was powerfull enough to drag me to a theatre then it had to be Avatar. Thanks to the college authorities for giving us first half of Friday completely free, we went to watch the movie [rare case of not missing lectures to do so] and sat there for the 150 minutes of runtime. Continue reading “Avatar”
Remember Remeber – History making November!!!
After the November of 2007 I had forgotten about the CAT; remember ‘Remember Remember the CAT November’? But this year all of sudden the month of November again reminded me about the CAT madness, primarily due to two reasons; one my brother appeared and this time it was online. Continue reading “Remember Remeber – History making November!!!”

Non issue of leak
After a long wait of 17 years, the Liberhan commission report is finally out. The commission was set on a mind boggling act of Babri Masjid demolition; it took mind boggling time of 17 years to be completed and it was anticipated to make some mind boggling revelations hence the way in which this mind boggling report could have come to light was undoubtedly mind boggling; it got leaked. 2012
Alright it is after a long time I am writing a movie review. Not because I was absent from the usual movie watching business, but my exams have kept me a little busy this time. This reminds me, I guess this is probably the last post till 25th of this month [which am eagerly waiting, my exams end the same day]. Anyways getting back to the task at hand; movie review! For some time my friend was bugging me with the release date of 2012; not because it was highly anticipated but it was falling right before my exams; so I had to watch it. Its not that I didn’t want to but I might have given it a miss. To talk about the movie in one straight line, it is like any other disaster movie just on larger scale. You get to see where they spent 200 million dollars. Continue reading “2012”
The Golden Age???
The result of recent assembly polls was as expected. No big surprises and for a change the exit polls were more or less upto the mark. However surprise came to me after the results, when an overjoyed congress spokesperson said that Indian polity is now unipolar and the golden age of one party rule is back. Continue reading “The Golden Age???”
The Big Question
Mr. Jaswant Singh was shown the exit door, Mr. Sudheendra Kulkarni himself chose this door, Mr. Arun Shourie just managed to duck the door and everyone is speculating when will be the time for Mr. Advani to take the same door. Continue reading “The Big Question”
Diwali Spirit!
Diwali went by last week; one of the most auspicious festivals of India is over. In my earlier post last year on Diwali we talked about how this festival is different from others. It is on the final festival day that there is nothing much to do. Well you know not everyone is into playing flash or drinking. Moreover bursting crackers is losing its charm [thanks to various drives- no to crackers; save environment; stop child labor]. Then all the markets are closed so no shopping; you have met with all the friends during the gift distribution ceremony so no one to visit either [lets not get into details you can have a look here Diwali Day]. Continue reading “Diwali Spirit!”
Shiv Puran and Big Bang
Don’t know how many of you actually remember your science lesson about the Big Bang Theory and the formation of Earth or about the origin of life for that matter. I certainly don’t. I don’t even remember paying any attention when the teacher actually taught it. But I do remember listening to the Shiv Puran lesson this Dussehra, and as promised its time for some enlightenment. Continue reading “Shiv Puran and Big Bang”
Obama win Nobel for Peace!!!
Breaking News, US President Barak Obama won this year’s Nobel Peace Prize. Astonishing! Congratulations Mr. President on winning the Nobel Prize; although the only notable noble thing you have done after becoming the US president is winning the Nobel Peace Prize, still congratulations. Continue reading “Obama win Nobel for Peace!!!”
The Beginning. . .
It’s been really long since I wrote something [won’t say meaning full here; what I write is hardly meaning full]. Instead of the last desperate attempt to get my head in order, things just don’t seem to be falling in line. So this time I decided to go with the flow without thinking what the outcome will be like [you know something is always better then nothing]. Its not that during this period of silence I did not tried anything. I tried, I tried a lot of things and few even came close of becoming a post, but to my dismay and god know whose delight, end result was unpublished incomplete drafts. Continue reading “The Beginning. . .”
Writing and Sabbatical???
Writing is a continuous process. As long as you are dong it you are good; but when you go on a break, you break a flow and getting back into this flow is easier said then done. Continue reading “Writing and Sabbatical???”
