Statutory warning: Whenever I see the 24X7, blah blah news channels I get pissed off; ‘dimag ka dahi ho jata hai’ (to put it in more elegant words of one of my cousin); this post is a result of one such dahi. Although to prevent the dahi incidents, I don’t watch new channels anymore, but now you have them blabbering on Twitter as well.
Since the election results of 16th May 2014, there was nothing much happening in the news circle. Yes there was the 100 days report card of Modi government (which the news guys were forced to give positive) and then the successful Japan visit of the PM, but no chance for words of wisdom of the self-declared intellects. Then came the moment they all were waiting for in the form of results for the recent by-polls.
Not only the timings of the by-polls was perfect but the result as well; as it gave the news channels new masala and chance to rejoice, talk and preach. The by-poll ‘blow’ to BJP and Modi wave being over, as advertised by the journos and celebrated by the opposition; made me wonder why do we listen to these morons who are only members of the mutual intellect labeling club.
The more I listen to the non-stop nonsense of this lot, the more frustrations creeps in, on listening to their stupid logic and ohh I am so smart and I know all attitude. They know shit! Just a background check, who among our classmates, in school and college took up journalism as a career, those who couldn’t get science or commerce took up arts. Then those art students who couldn’t become artist, lawyer, teacher, civil servants or made it to a decent B-school. So there are those who after English (H) had no other option, so took up mass communication and journalism as higher studies. What is their area of expertise? Are they economists, science genius, learned intellects, masters of history, what are they? They are nobody except a lot with the privilege of sitting in front of camera, access to millions of household televisions, and an opinion on anything and everything. Plato said ‘Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools talk because they have to say something’.
Coming back to by-poll results, these were state assembly by-polls. The moment the ‘intelligent journos’ equates the result of state assembly with center; they take the voters as fools for granted. You think the voters are idiots who do not know the difference between the state and center elections? They are retards who cannot differentiate state issues with national issues and who only vote with a picture of one man in their mind? Hallelujah, they are not. These two are different elections, fought on different issues, with different leaders in front, and are mandate against different agendas and leaders. You cannot tell, because Modi won in center, so BJP will win all the states or vice versa. This is stupid. The opposition does it, as they cannot defend adversaries when they have won. But you! It’s not for no reason people abuse you on social media platforms; they are tired of your bull shit and you thinking them of idiots.
Secondly, the electorate in India is so vast, diverse and emotional that it is impossible to generalize the reasons behind any electoral victory or defeat. Journos were ecstatic in declaring that people have rejected the Hinduism agenda of BJP in UP. They have not fallen for the polarization trick and it’s a message for BJP-RSS that you cannot fool people. You mean they fell for it during the central elections, when they voted for BJP? What about those who voted for BJP, accepted it this time as well? Either you take viewers to be born idiots and people with low IQ, or they genuinely themselves are retards who do not understand anything and think others to be like them.
Now, listen carefully and after an earlier post no ‘No Ulloo Banawoing’ I am again trying to tell you very slowly, so that you can comprehend it properly. Having a degree in English honors or literature doesn’t make you master of all fields, an expert about Indian polity or voter mind set. It only gives you good command over the language, but that’s it, nothing more. Secondly job of a reporter is to REPORT, so just REPORT, it’s for no reason that you are called REPORTERS and NEWS READERS; with such decorated degrees in English language you can atleast understand the meaning of these words. Don’t push your opinions on others. Nobody wants them. Stop giving free advice, nobody asked for it and nobody gives a shit about it.
In the past few years, I have found DD news to be so much better and easy on ears, than other news channels, not because its government mouth piece, because the news reader doesn’t force you to listen to his/her opinion disguised as news.
